Dawit Adera is a passionate cinematographer with extensive industry experience, training, and a proven track record in cinematography. His drive stems from a lifelong passion for conveying meaningful human stories. Dawit is a graduate of Columbia College Hollywood with a BFA and holds an MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute. He has contributed to a diverse range of international and local narrative and documentary films, both in the US and abroad.
Proficient in overseeing all aspects of film production, Dawit excels in making critical decisions related to camera lens selection, camera operation, lighting design, set arrangement, and various technological considerations that impact the overall visual aesthetics of a film. Notably, Dawit is among the select few cinematographers with hands-on experience utilizing Unreal Engine LED wall technology at Amazon Studios. Additionally, he possesses expertise in working with various digital and analog cameras.
